About Noni Potter

I was born in the UK and moved to Australia where I have lived since age twelve. I have been happily married to Steve for 39 years and we have two awesome adult children. My favourite ways to relax are walking, stand-up paddle boarding, scuba diving, reading, spending time with family and friends, and gardening.

I began my career as an Occupational Therapist working for children with cerebral palsy. Following this Steve and I spent seventeen years as pastors, during this time we planted a church and travelled regularly through Southeast Asia working with churches, orphanages and disaster relief programs.

About Noni Potter's Counselling Journey

While working as a pastor, I developed a growing passion for prayer, prophetic ministry and seeing people healed and set free through their relationship with God. In 2009, I trained with Bethel Sozo ministry and established one of the early Sozo teams in Australia. I am an accredited trainer and the Australian Regional Facilitator for Bethel Sozo Ministry, I am also part of the management team of the Australian Inner Healing Network with the role of developing new training resources. Currently, I train and mentor church prayer ministry and healing teams across South Australia.

What I Do Now

My growing desire to see people walk in health and wholeness led to my return to study at Tabor Adelaide where I trained as a Christian counsellor and psychotherapist, graduating with a Master of Counselling Practice. I am a qualified clinical supervisor, having completed an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision. I continue my involvement with Tabor working for 5 years as the Head Undergraduate Counselling, and currently focussing on training students  in the areas of trauma therapy, grief counselling, relationship counselling and integrating Christian faith and spirituality with counselling practice. I also consult as a counsellor and clinical supervisor in Private Practice, specialising in working with Christian counsellors, pastors and clients who wish to integrate their faith and spirituality as a valuable resource within the healing process.

I have trained and mentored church teams across Australia and South East Asia. I enjoy public speaking and equipping people with tools for:

  • Psychological and emotional wellbeing
  • Hearing God’s voice
  • Developing a lifestyle of intimacy with God
  • Prayer ministry
  • Building healthy marriages

I am a trainer and consultant to churches in South Australia who are developing prayer ministry teams for physical, psychological and emotional healing
